Today we held our 78th Annual Pittsburgh Metropolitan Open at the JCC. Edward Dean took 1st Place in the Championship section, Raymond Dunsworth and Adrian Hujic tied for 1st Place in the Reserve section, and Samuel Shear took 1st Place in th Novice section with a perfect score. Raymond won the Reserve 1st Place plaque on tie breaks. Also, Oliver Siemer took the Top U1400 prize, Hardy Gu took Top U1200, and Adrian Hujic won the biggest upset prize for his win against Engin Katipoglu (465 point difference!).
