Mar 2022 Lecture w/ IM Milos Stankovic

Join us on zoom Mar 28 Monday, 7PM where we will welcome IM Milos Stankovic to our lecture series. His greatest tournament successes are: Serbia youth champ 2009, Serbia senior team champion 2010, European Youth rapid championship 2010 bronze medal, Elgoibar Masters 2017 runner-up, International Grandmaster tournament Valjevo 2017 first place, Ikaria chess open 2016 second place, European student's games, Zagreb 2017 bronze team medal, Christmas tournament Augsburg 2018 first place. He plays for Bundesliga 1 for BCA Augsburg.

He's been working with students of different levels and ages, and currently accepting students. Under his guidance, students improve their skills, build confidence and become players with international titles. He accomplishes this by building a repetoire based on classics, ideas and model games, teaching how to recognize tactics, improving attacking skills, how to squeeze, and a full fledged endgames program. He will assess your strengths and weaknesses, make a plan for improvement, give homework and guidelines for self-work, play training games (theory without practice is useless), and help out in tournament preparation. Nothing happens overnight! You should be hard working, patient and persistent!

This event will be free to club members but a $10 donation is suggested. Admission for non-members will be $15. All proceeds go toward the Pittsburgh Chess Club 2022 Lecture Fund.
